What requirements you'll need to be eligible
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in project execution, equipment installation commissioning, and validation, preferably in a manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering enhancements to systems

  • Willingness to take on challenges and show confidence in ambiguous situations.

What you'll be doing on the job

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Delivery:

  • Liaise with users to create comprehensive URS.

  • Explore available engineering solutions from various reputable vendors.

  • Perform Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) processes if needed.

  • Adapt user specifications iteratively to conclude the best reasonable solution.

  • Engage in negotiation and purchasing of services and goods with the Finance team.

  • Lead project delivery, monitor progress, and participate in FAT, installation, commissioning, SAT, and operational reviews.

  • Collect and maintain important documentation, including drawings, FAT, commissioning results, SAT, performance reviews, BAST, and maintenance handbooks.

  • Update project status and payment release times in SAP.

  • Provide proper handover and training to maintenance and operational teams.

  • Ensure strict compliance with COBC, Safety, KORE, and other policies.

Mentoring and Advisory:

  • Mentor and advise selected project leaders from other departments.

  • Assess and monitor document collection from projects led by other departments.

  • Monitor project progress for projects led by other departments.

Strategy:

  • Contribute to PoF, SMP, and LRP discussions with advice and suggestions.

  • Provide project and fund status to the Engineering Manager for stakeholder discussions through agreed platforms and routines (e.g., SAP, PowerApps).

Functional Skills:

  • Proficiency in project control and management, including scheduling adherence, budgeting, and document control.

  • Technical knowledge to assess and compare available solutions in the market, e.g., piping, instrumentation, automation, water treatment, wastewater treatment, CIP&COP skid, process equipment, end of line equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of safety and sustainability to incorporate into URS.

  • Ability to create workshops to gather user expectations, pain points, and needs.

  • Competence in converting user personas into technical language in URS.

  • Effective communication of URS to vendors.

  • Ability to compare vendors and options based on technical views, vendor reputation, after-sales solutions, and life cycle costs.

  • Negotiation skills to adapt user personas to vendor or budget limitations for optimal solutions.

  • Effective communication with local and global stakeholders regarding project status, constraints, timelines, and budgeting.

  • Ability to mentor junior project leaders from other departments.

  • Providing handover and training to maintenance and operational teams.
