What requirements you'll need to be eligible

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical (preferred), electrical or other related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of M&E project management experience, with a strong background in local Malaysian construction projects.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end M&E processes in industrial building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, with additional experience in piping or electrical systems being an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other M&E design and management software.
• Strong understanding of local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team, with a strong focus on efficiency and quality.
• Client-focused with a proactive approach to managing client relationships.
• Willing to work on-site in Penang. Accommodation will be provided.

What you'll be doing on the job

• Manage all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) aspects of industrial construction projects, ensuring all systems (HVAC, piping, electrical) are designed, installed, and commissioned correctly.
• Supervise M&E teams on-site and ensure that the work meets the required safety, quality, and performance standards.
• End-to-End Project Management: Lead and manage M&E activities throughout the project lifecycle, from planning, procurement, and design to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure the timely delivery of M&E systems, coordinating with other departments and contractors to meet overall project milestones.
• Maintain effective communication with the client, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure M&E systems align with project specifications and expectations.
• Address any technical challenges or issues that arise on-site and find appropriate solutions.
• Lead the M&E team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure all necessary materials and equipment are available for timely project completion.
• Monitor M&E project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed within financial and schedule constraints.
• Ensure quality control procedures are adhered to and that any defects are addressed promptly.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with local building regulations and safety standards.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with relevant codes and regulations.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management, highlighting any potential risks or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of M&E works, including testing, commissioning, and completion documentation.
