What requirements you'll need to be eligible

Qualifications

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) and RESTful API development.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., core banking, payment gateways).
- Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Frontend skills (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) are a plus.

Experience:
- 1-3 years in PHP development, preferably in fintech/banking.
- Familiarity with BNM regulations and financial security protocols.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: PHP Zend, CISSP, or cloud certifications.
- Knowledge of microservices, Docker, or blockchain.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes).

What you'll be doing on the job

We seek a PHP Developer with 1-3 years of experience in building and maintaining financial systems (e.g., payment gateways, digital lending platforms, or core banking applications). You will develop secure, scalable solutions aligned with Malaysia’s financial regulations (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines) while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based financial applications (e.g., payment processing, loan management).
- Integrate APIs with banks, payment gateways (e.g., FPX, PayPal), and third-party financial services.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (PCI DSS, encryption) and data protection laws (PDPA).
- Optimize system performance for high-traffic financial transactions.
- Collaborate with QA, product teams, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution in production systems.
- Document code and system architecture.
